Heat-shrinkable tube is a plastic tube that shrinks when exposed to heat. It is made of nylon or polyolefin plastic. Its main property is as an insulator. It is used as an insulating sheath for wires or conductive metals of various electronic devices to prevent short circuits. Although some people may say that if it is an electrical wire, electrical tape can be used. But the difference between using heat shrink tubing and electrical tape is not only aesthetics, heat shrink tubing is also of better quality and more durable.
